The facility has full-service men’s and women’s locker rooms and each with a sauna. The spacious and well-appointed meeting rooms at Chota are busy year-round with many clubs.

Kahite Activity Center

A satellite recreation facility is featured here at the Kahite neighborhood. The Activity Center includes two tennis courts, outdoor heated swimming pool, meeting rooms and exercise equipment. The pool deck is popular with residents with its umbrella-shaded tables and spectacular views of the Smoky Mountains.

The Family Park and Beach Pavilion is open for use by residents and their guests. It is the perfect secluded getaway for the whole family. Located on Tellico Lake, the Family Park offers a host of features to residents. A spacious playground includes a jungle-gym, slides and other kids-oriented activities. Swimming is allowed in a netted area, which rolls onto a sandy beach. The covered pavilion is equipped with grills, fans, and electricity and can be reserved anytime for private events and parties.

Within Tellico Village are four walking and hiking trails. Outside the Wellness Center is a paved pathway that encircles the facility. There are four exercise stations donated and installed by the Tellico Village Lions Club on the walkway which can be used by able-bodied as well as physically challenged individuals. Running parallel to Toqua Road is the Toqua walking trail that pops in and out of forested areas and skips by the Toqua Golf Course. This back and forth trail takes about 45 minutes to walk. In the Coyatee neighborhood a little more than a one-mile hiking trail loops through the Coyatee Reserve with modest elevations and a forest pond. On the Coyatee trail, residents can get into the woods without leaving the community. A combination walking/hiking trail meanders more than three miles through the Kahite neighborhood moving through treed areas, open spaces and skirts Tellico Lake.

Boating and lake activities are a large part of the Tellico Village lifestyle experience. The Village marinas provide easy access to one of the community’s greatest assets – Tellico Lake.

There are three marinas available to serve Village residents with docking facilities located at the Yacht Club, Tanasi Basin, and the Kahite neighborhood. All dock areas are gated and there are security cameras in most areas. The docks all have running water and electricity for casual use. Gasoline is available at the Yacht Club.  Across the three locations, there are a total of 630 boat slips for residents to lease and 31 personal watercraft docking spaces (jet ski slips). Restrooms are accessible all three marinas and docking space is also available for guest boaters.

For residents who do not have space to conveniently store their kayaks or means to transport their vessels to the lake, the community has a kayak launch and storage facility located at the Yacht Club Basin Marina. The 32-rack facility is covered, lighted, locked and surrounded by a dock to ceiling fence to secure the kayaks. Steps from the storage area is a state-of-the-art launch platform which makes entering and exiting a kayak a totally dry experience. The launcher is one of few such platforms in Greater Knoxville.

The park is operated by the Dog Owner’s Group (D.O.G.) and is about two acres in size, the park is separated by secured gate access into “large” and “small” dog areas. There is room for dogs to romp off leash with other dogs or to play fetch with the tennis balls provided at the park. Multiple water faucets and bowls are available in the park. Trees have been planted to provide shade.
